Joan can bring a unique and educational experience to your school or community. She performs a 30 minute presentation explaining the history of trick roping, performing a routine and inviting audience members to "learn the ropes." Participants can learn some basic spinning tricks while Joan demonstrates and shows them proper techniques. Before long they are learning some spinning tricks themselves.
In the instructional clinics participants learn such skills as coiling, handling a rope, and how trick ropes are made. Joan teaches such tricks as the Flat Loop, Wedding Ring, and Hand Shaking to mention a few. Instructional materials and ropes are provided. Trick roping can improve eye hand coordination, concentration, muscle endurance, flexibility, coordination and a feeling of self esteem. Students develop self-confidence with immediate success and feelings of accomplishment. And it's fun!
